Primary Job Function: Maintain and repair equipment to ensure production and quality requirements.
Be prepared at shift change to promptly assume job responsibilities. Discuss with previous shift technician problems/remedies that happened during their shift.
If all frames are running, check and clean all trash belts @ 11 o’clock and 6 o’clock on respective shift. During this cycle, also clean headend and footend cabinet louvers and remove all excess tubes from footend trays. Utilize blue laundry bags to put waste and tubes in.
Check assigned robots to ensure productivity.
Inspect all spinner reports for non-productive spindles and correct. Note necessary remedies.
Obtain Spiderweb report and repair all non-conforming units on assigned spinning frames. Complete all necessary forms.
Manage Spinner and Can hauler activity to ensure production requirements are met.
Obtain and record all parts removed from Supply Room.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY DUTIES:
Report accidents to supervisor immediately.
Wear hearing protection in required areas.
Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for specific work tasks.
Perform miscellaneous work tasks as directed by supervisor.
Follow safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
Report unsafe work conditions.
Wear dust mask and safety goggles when using compressed air or when exposed to dusty conditions.
